Creekside Cookers BBQ was started in 2010 by Pitmaster Kelly Evers. Kelly was a middle school social studies teacher who got hooked on competing in BBQ competitions. After a few years of competing and winning, he decided to begin catering. Eventually, Kelly along with his wife Melody, began selling BBQ on Saturdays out of a food trailer in Wimberley, Texas. In 2016, Kelly quit his 20-year teaching career to pursue his love of BBQ and open Creekside full-time. Today, we are blessed to have moved to a full-service restaurant in the same town, by a creek, where we started and amongst all of the neighbors and newcomers to Wimberley who we’ve been fortunate to provide real Texas pit BBQ.
